~~Magpie#21~~~FIREWORKS!!!~~~1-4 JULY 2010
FIREWORKS!!!
THE DUSK OF TWILIGHT RELENTS
UNREPENTANT
SYNAPSES EXPECTANT
THE DEEPENING DARKNESS
THE NIGHTSKY PUPILS
ENCOMPASS OUR INKYNESS
SURROUNDS THE CROWDS
LIKE A BLANKET HUG
SENSES ON ANTICIPATE
THEN
THE FIRST CRACK OF KABOOM
AND LIGHTENING AWAKENING
THE SOUL SOUND
AUTOMATED
WE LOOK UP
EXCLAIMING OUR "OHH'S" AND "AHH'S"
IN CHORAL SYNCHRONIZATION
THE LIGHT SHOW CRESCENDOS
EXPLOSIVE COHESIVENESS
UNBOUND FROM EARTH
UNLEASED FROM HEAVEN
UNKNOWN POWERS OF LATENT DESIRES
POINTS OF BRIGHT LIGHTS
COLOURFUL SPECTRUM
INTERFACE
INTERACT
INVOLVE US
EXPERIENCERS
REMINDERS
FORMATIONS OF MEMORY
PRIMORDIAL STONE SOUP
IGNITE THE FLINT
SULPHURED AIR
AGES PAST ROCKS
OF THE BLISS
OF THE BIG BANG
REMAINING
SOMEHOW
WITHIN
US ALL
HAPPY CANADA DAY 1 JULY!!! USA HAPPY 4th OF JULY!!!

Well done and I love the wonderful music --Happy Fourth....blessings..bkm
ReplyDelete"sulphured air" I love that you brought my olfactory senses right in and hooked me. Those two words alone brought me outside your poem and into my own reminiscence of youth gone by. Greta job!

Perfect finale to a perfect poem!
Your poem really gripped all my senses! You did a great job pulling the reader in, I felt hooked! Oh, and I love fireworks:)
ReplyDeleteYour poem sparkles, crackles, and pops! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThe intensity of your words portray the thrill which comes with each firey explosion. We read the prose of gunpowder everyday in the news and only at times of celebration do we witness it's poetry.
