Magpie #100 One Hundred Reasons Why

MAGPIE TALES #100

sculpture: Jason deCaires Taylor

One hundred reasons why
I never could die
I never could say goodbye
I never could ask

One hundred reasons why
I could never die
I never could say goodbye
I never could ask you again
water passes between us
floats by
saturates all
submerges my will

I forgot them all
the long gone forever
lost in this sea
I use to call forgetfulness

  1. This is a poem for someone very close to me who has Altzheimers. Let's find a cure soon. Thank-you!

Alzheimer's is unforgiving and heartbreaking. I'm with you in hopes a cure is found soon.
