More Limerick Licks
- The Poor Old Boy From Port Dover -
There was an old man from Port Dover
who thought he could row out and save her
although his intent was good
he just wasn't in the mood
the poor old boy from Port Dover
More and more the sinking sand did forsake
with every struggling move he did make
to free himself from this crusty earth
to prove his mettle and his worth
the poor old boy from Port Dover
As the day grew long and the night wore on
the muffled cries a forgotten song
the boat drifted on its own
saved the girl who rowed to town
the poor old boy from Port Dover
