Mag#132 "sPeNt"

Big Room, 1948, by Andrew Wyeth

sPeNt

not suppose to be here
My day off
A Reprieve
Eyes turned inward
only to retract
An Invocation
to
 Awaken

what did I miss?
Between the ears of corn
Between these rolling hills
the crickets 5 year plan
Rollicking in pitched Esctacy

Hell, the Banshee cries
 wolf wails
the
Deep Within
spent
by The Blue August Moon
calling me home

  2. Explanation about the crickets; every five years the crickets seem to invade the basement and sing all day an night at this time in August. Nature is beyond our ability to control it, the life force far beyond the mortal breadth and grasp.
