The Mag #106 Can On The Moon

Can on The Moon Series by Andy JANE JONES Warhol and R.E.M.

Lyrics borrowed by commericial tm

Campbell Soup and the game of Life (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Andy Warhol in the wrestling match (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Monopoly, Twenty-one, Checkers, and Chess (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Mister Andy Warhol in a cereal mess (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Let's play Twister, let's play Risk (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
See you heaven if you make the list (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)

Now, Andy did you hear about this one
Tell me, are you locked in the punch
Andy are you proofing on Elvis? Hey, baby
Are we losing touch
If you believed they put a can on the moon, can on the moon
If you believe there's nothing up his sleeve, then nothing is cool

Moses went walking with the staff of wood (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Newton got beaned by the apple good (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Egypt was troubled by the horrible asp (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Mister Charles Darwin had the gall to ask (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)

Now Andy did you hear about this one
Tell me, are you locked in the punch
Hey, Andy are you proofing on Elvis? Hey, baby.
Are you having fun
If you believed they put a can on the moon, can on the moon
If you believe there's nothing up his sleeve, then nothing is cool

Here's a little agit for the never-believer (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Here's a little ghost for the offering (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Here's a truck stop instead of Saint Peter's (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Mister Andy Warhol's gone wrestling
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Now Andy did you hear about this one
Tell me, are you locked in the punch
Hey Andy are you proofing on Elvis, hey baby, are we losing touch
If you believed they put a can on the moon, can on the moon
If you believe there's nothing up his sleeve, then nothing is cool

  7. @Jinksy...what is "double word verification"? If you mean what I think you mean it means that I "borrowed" the score from REM. Isn't this what Andy did when he "borrowed" the image Campbell soup can? Words can be images as well and copyrighted. In other words if i put a copyright and the date for example; Jane Jones c 2012 then I make the words art and that is mine and it is my copyright now..Uh huh..? Is this it?

    1. Word Verification is what I have to type in a box in order to leave you a comment.
Recently Blogger changed this to TWO indecipherable words, instead of the ONE they asked for before their latest fiddling a couple of weeks ago.
Instructions for turning it off are HERE if you've not seen them yet.

  9. Very clever and entertaining lyrics. I only wish that I could hear the melody ...

If you really didn't know what Jinksy meant by "double word verification", she meant that it's very aggravating making comments with the word verification turned on. Just saying ... I've never had any verifications turned on and I haven't had the first bit of ads or spam ... Knock on Wood
