The Mag #106 Can On The Moon
Can on The Moon Series by Andy JANE JONES Warhol and R.E.M.
Lyrics borrowed by commericial tm
Campbell Soup and the game of Life (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Andy Warhol in the wrestling match (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Monopoly, Twenty-one, Checkers, and Chess (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Mister Andy Warhol in a cereal mess (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Let's play Twister, let's play Risk (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
See you heaven if you make the list (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Now, Andy did you hear about this one
Tell me, are you locked in the punch
Andy are you proofing on Elvis? Hey, baby
Are we losing touch
If you believed they put a can on the moon, can on the moon
If you believe there's nothing up his sleeve, then nothing is cool
Moses went walking with the staff of wood (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Newton got beaned by the apple good (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Egypt was troubled by the horrible asp (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Mister Charles Darwin had the gall to ask (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Now Andy did you hear about this one
Tell me, are you locked in the punch
Hey, Andy are you proofing on Elvis? Hey, baby.
Are you having fun
If you believed they put a can on the moon, can on the moon
If you believe there's nothing up his sleeve, then nothing is cool
Here's a little agit for the never-believer (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Here's a little ghost for the offering (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Here's a truck stop instead of Saint Peter's (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Mister Andy Warhol's gone wrestling
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Now Andy did you hear about this one
Tell me, are you locked in the punch
Hey Andy are you proofing on Elvis, hey baby, are we losing touch
If you believed they put a can on the moon, can on the moon
If you believe there's nothing up his sleeve, then nothing is cool

ReplyDeletePSHAW~~~just because andy has platinum white hair does not mean that his image is that of the moon or that he would be the can on moon!
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant. Love it!
ReplyDeleteOr WOULD he.....?
ReplyDeleteNice!
:)
nice....love that song and you have done a fun mix your own way as well...lol...fun read!
ReplyDeleteR.E.M. ~~ my all time favorite performers .. Man On The Moon literally sends me over the moon! This is so creative, so unique!!
ReplyDeleteso very very clever and so much info to boot!
ReplyDeleteA natty ditty...
ReplyDeleteBut double word verification left on instead of turned off, is anything but natty...
ReplyDeleteAlmost a pie in the sky song...
ReplyDelete@Jinksy...what is "double word verification"? If you mean what I think you mean it means that I "borrowed" the score from REM. Isn't this what Andy did when he "borrowed" the image Campbell soup can? Words can be images as well and copyrighted. In other words if i put a copyright and the date for example; Jane Jones c 2012 then I make the words art and that is mine and it is my copyright now..Uh huh..? Is this it?
ReplyDeleteWord Verification is what I have to type in a box in order to leave you a comment.
DeleteRecently Blogger changed this to TWO indecipherable words, instead of the ONE they asked for before their latest fiddling a couple of weeks ago.
Instructions for turning it off are HERE if you've not seen them yet.
@thank-you everyone for your comments...always appreciated~!
ReplyDeleteVery clever and entertaining lyrics. I only wish that I could hear the melody ...
ReplyDeleteIf you really didn't know what Jinksy meant by "double word verification", she meant that it's very aggravating making comments with the word verification turned on. Just saying ... I've never had any verifications turned on and I haven't had the first bit of ads or spam ... Knock on Wood
why is every one going on about the double word thingy...its blogger not us!!!.calm down dears!!!
ReplyDeletei loved..loved what you did here...so talented...xx
Thanks @Everybody...I'm getting it now~ ok I will do that...jes...
