Jane On Censorship

Ooops I forgot to say "censored books are read via the underground market". Similar to bootleg books, or albums (DVD's)novels are banned because they "do harm". We have a right to say our peace if we feel offended by subject matter, censor boards weigh the evidence to decide if the material is offensive in any way. There are issues with exploitation or abuse of a certain segment of society, than, yes, that "does harm" and should be censored. However, we all know that censorship doesnt work entirely because it disappears to an illegal underground market. Usually for the seedy segment of society. So how to stop the underground of perversion? Unfortunately this is a job which is a non-stop headache for police departments as well as a waste of taxpayers money. How to solve this issue? Hire more police to stop the exploitation. If it is not expoitation, and the real issue is POV, the result would be censorship of the banned book. Censorship should be illegal as well if it interferes with freedom of expression. There is a very fine line between being honest with reporting various social issues through writing and being exploitively taking advantage of a group of people. I believe the way the novel is presented is the main issue. If the novel is obviously dwelling on one certain exploitive issue, for sensatiionalism, etc, the book should undoubtly be censored. It is the way the story is reported whether or not it crosses the line into illegal and thus censored. If the novel does not follow this criteria of presentation of facts the novel and would cause undue harm to others in should be banned and pursued for it is not only illegal but dangerous for society to have such exploitation readily available in bookstores. I believe censorship in this way is a "good thing" for society, and police should be expected to lay charges against anyone knowingly exploiting another, especially the most vulnerable members of society. If "no harm" is presented in the novel then censorship could be bordering on another Farenheit 451 scenario. Did not the Nazi's slash and burn Bibles in WWII? Knowledge can be dangerous for those who want to keep the populace "dumbed down". Go carefully on this slippery slope, if you are writing books on "hot topics" maybe, it is good advice to seek professional opinions first. This is my knowledge from experience; tread lightly! Jane Jones> Dear MWWer's: Censorship issues are a hot potato topic and will not go away anytime soon. Books are censored when the governments believe they will do "harm". However, censorship usually does not have much of an effect on the citizenry's morales. Censored books get censored via the underground market. Lady Chatterly's Lover by DH Lawrence was censored in Edwardian England due to it's analogous reference to the act. This book was on my grade 13 high school circulum. As far as Lolita is concerned, I did not like how this book was written. It is very over-rated. It reminded me of the X-rated version of "To Sir With Love". What is the issue, and I believe a more important issue, is the censorship of communication. How are we to understand each other if we are not allowed to discuss such "hot" issues? Food for thought. Jane On Judgement

this is character; it would be boring to think we were one dimensional. There are degrees of qualities or lack in a person depending (usually) on their socio/economic means. We are told not to judge in the Bible "Judge not that yea not be judged" In other words, we should not play G*d. Why not? Because we dont know the beginning from the end or the "big picture" the Alpha Omega. We dont have all the information yet. So how can we truly judge others when we do not know all about them?

Jane on Free Speech

we place limits on free speech due to offending the other party. sometimes this is good, sometimes not. you must speak your mind; as your intuitive should be the basis of being. Communication; when coming from a place of unity, not much is to be feared; this is what everyone wants. If we question everything we say, we filter out the truth. We edit too much, we are left with a feelingless, non-expressive speech which may not be telling of that immediacy, to express the moment of truth. The wholeness which is within and without us decides the right thing to say at the right time. New things offend the status quo until everyone jumps on the bandwagonThen it is ok to say your "piece" or "peace". Just say it! Do it! Express yourselfT As long as you dont offend others that may be oversensitive. What I am asking; how are we going to express ourselves if our inner critic uses the red edit pen everytime we open our mouths and speak our innermost feelings?

The Spirit Moves Me Through Dance Arts

Energic Sourcing in Dance. The mitochondria energy hologram imprints upon my dna recount the moves for the body and soul healing. The cosmic energies of movement/dance create a force that can balance the universe forces through the sun energic. The earth balances as we dance and create the relationship between these energies. It is sublime, it is real it is cosmic.

Similar to the Yaqui Indians or the Plains Indians we are listening to the sound of the spheres of the space around and within us. Our hands the focus of healing powers that travel throughout our chaktras to enter this plain have incredible amounts of healing powers.

Dance enlivens the human spirit and creates a powerhouse of spiritual wholeness; a oneness with I AM. It is important for me to let go this latent and unknown power throught dance. Even though I am arthritic at 50 I am still trying to let the universe move me and heal me and heal others through the energy it provides. The energy are the spirit of The One, The Mothercellsoul. It is powerful. It is G*d given. It is in everyone of us. We must find how to release these AWESOME powers. Once we do, we save the planet and ourselves. You see, the universe wants to communicate with us. For some, like me, it has always been through dance or other art mediums. I am old but I wont let this stop me. I am becoming like I am. Who has always been I am, yesterday today and tomorrow. Hebrews 3:13

Happy Independence Day USA! The Birth of A Nation

Dear Karen, et al: This is a great Independence Day special insert! It really is interesting to think of the Knights errant travelling on their many quests across the Alantic and arriving in America before Columbus, before the pilgrims on the Mayflower. Was there any word as to which Knight perished in the US?
Definitely I have heard that North America was discovered in "-AD 1000 Leif Ericson became the first European to land in North America (see Ericson)". Could the Vikings have been Christianized at this time and part of the knight/sailor campaign. To think of those horses on ships at that time travelling that distance is astounding. The natives were also seafarers, I believe National Geographic discussed the many storms that pushed ships to new shores for new discoveries, a small boy in a kayak from Greenland ended up in the northern Scotland. The Westford, Massachusetts landing, the Rosecrucian esoteric Egyptian symbols proves the mass of cross-cultural references of these world travellers.Happy Birthday USA! Jane Jones

> A legend goes that King Arthur once drank from the healing waters of Great Spirits Spring at Windfall Run, USA. But this is not the only Arthurian legend connected with America.

> Commissioned by William Sinclair, work commenced on Rosslyn Chapel in 1450 and the building was completed in 1486. It is said that Sinclair set sail for America in 1398. What is intriguing is that corn cobs are distinctly seen today among the many esoterical stone carvings on the walls and ceilings, and the carvings at Rosslyn were depictions of actual corn cobs brought back by Sinclair's men on their transatlantic voyage. However, the corn cob may also be a symbol of fertility, and thus, of the Holy Grail itself.

Jane on Love

Gaia says "we must take care of each other; we are all earth's children, we are brothers and sisters." Only One Creator: I AM ONE I AM LOVE...I AM

We are all created from LOVE..and LOVE is Our Holy Creator

Blessings From that which is, the completeness, the unity of one; The Creator

we would all be healed and there would be no pain on this planet if LOVE was unified here. We do have only partial love here. WHEN we get to the LOVE PLANE OF EXISTENCE...we are then truly free. Can't wait!

we cannot live in the full spectrum of love because we are separated somehow from the unifying experience which is real, which is Love. We would be on that Love Plane already if everyone loved us, we have to carry our love light through those unseen places to be brought forth into wholeness and unity once more. In other words; we have a long way to go baby!

WOW it's CANADA'S BDAY 142 YEARS OLD TODAY!

WOW HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA...I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU ARE 142 YEARS YOUNG...WHY I AM SO VERY PROUD..YES PROUD! TO BE CANADIAN...I STICK OUT MY CHEST, BREATH IN THE FREEDOM AND SAY HEY, I CAN DO WHAT I WANT, BE WHO I WANT TO BE, FEEL THE FREEDOM BABY, IT IS ALL AROUND YOU. THE JOY OF LIVING, THAT I CAN ACTUALLY LIVE AND NOT WORRY ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT I WILL HAVE A ROOF OVER MY HEAD OR FOOD IN MY BELLY. THAT I CAN MAKE DREAMS HAPPEN, THAT I CAN SAY MY PEACE, WITHOUT FEAR OF REPRISALS, THAT I AM ABLE TO GO TO BC AND SEE THE MOUNTAINS AND SUNSET OFF VANCOUVER BEFORE I DEPART THIS WORLD, THAT I CAN GO OUT EAST AND FINISH OFF MY PAINTING COURSE THERE, AND THAT I CAN CONTINUE TO SIMON FRASER, DISCOVER TINGLIT NATIVES AND GO UP THE MCKENZIE RIVER AND FIND GOLD, THAT I CAN REDISCOVER THAT ANCIENT LAND WHICH ECHOES TO ME, ACHEFULLY CALLS ME, "COME JANE TO THE MOUNTAIN" AND I MUST FIND THAT MOUNTAIN. THE BURDEN BEING HOW TO GET THERE AND WHEN, BUT I KNOW IF I WANT TO, I CAN DO IT. WHY? BECAUSE IT IS THERE. CANADA IS THERE, IT IS HERE, IT IS EVERYWHERE; IT IS BETWEEN MY TOES, AND UP MY NOSE AND QUARTER TO THREE IT WILL STILL BE HERE. THAT IS WHY I LIKE CANADA IT IS PERMANENT AS THE UNIVERSE, IT HAS THIS SENSE WHEN STANDING ON THE GREAT CANADIAN SHIELD, WHICH I HAVE DONE, WHEN LIVING NORTH OF SUPERIOR. I CAN SENSE THE MAGIC OF ALGOMA, OF NATIVES FLYING ACROSS THE HAVILAND BAY AREA MOUNTAINS AS I SAW THEM FLY ON THE THREE HOUR LAKE SUPERIOR TOUR THROUGH THE TWILIGHT ZONE WHERE THE SUN DOES NOT SET OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I REMEMBER EXPO 67, THE AMAZING TIME WHEN MY FAMILY WENT THERE TO THE ISLE OF MAN TRANSFORMED BY THE WORLD'S EXPOSITION WITH PAVILIIONS OF AMAZEMENT. I WAS ONLY 9 AT THE TIME. I REMEMBER I LOVED THE USA PAVILLION THE GEODESIC DOME BY BUCKMINSTER FULLER AND THE THAILAND AND BRITIAN'S PAVILION AND SEEING THE BOAT SHOW, AND TAKING IN THE FRENCH-CANADIAN FLAVOUR TO THE QUEEN ELIZABETH HOTEL DOWNTOWN, AND THE BEAUTIFUL CATHEDRAL WHERE CELINE DION WAS MARRIED, AND REMEMBER A GRADE 8 TRIP TO QUEBEC CITY, WHERE THE CHATEAU FRONTENAC GAVE ME A FEELING OF THE FRENCH IDEA OF ROMANCE. I REMEMBER THE COKE COSTING A DOLLAR AT THE DISCO AND THE OLD QUEBEC ARTISTS "EN PLEINE AIRE" WITH THEIR ARTS AND CRAFTS FLOURISHING THERE, AND THE PIZZA WHICH ALWAYS TASTED SO GOOD AND THE FILET MIGNON I GOT TO TRY. I REMBMER THE COTTAGE IN WASAGA BEACH IN THE 60'S, LEARNING HOW TO SWIM IN GEORGIAN BAY, MAKING FINE FRIENDS HERE IN CANADA, FRIENDS THAT GIVE YOU THEIR LAST SHIRT. TRULY KIND BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE THE CANADIANS. THEY ARE TRUE TO FORM AND SORT THORUGH MUCH BS. THIS IS THE NATURE OF CANADA, SUPERNATURAL WITH NATURE THE RULE RATHER THAN THE EXCEPTION. CANADA FROM THE FIRST MOMENT I SUCKED MY FIRST BREATH TO PROBABLY THE MOMENT I SUCK MY LAST WILL ALWAYS BE THAT PLACE THAT I CALL HOME. JANE JONE JUL 1 2009
